Kiely Jenkins was an original member of the Soul Artists and the Fun Gallery. He also became an important figure in the East Village art movement. His sculptures rose to prominence in the early 80's due to their association with the emergent Graffiti coulture in NYC. His one man shows at Fun Gallery always received a lot of attention publicly and critically throughout the art world.
